I’m so glad you found me! I know choosing the right photographer is so much more than just style, skill, and price – it’s also personality fit. I hope this little blurb helps you get a good picture of who I am, and if we’d be a good match!
I’m a Wisconsin native (I will always prefer bubbler to water fountain, and cheese curds to fries). I came to Minnesota in 2003 for undergrad and I’ve called St. Paul home ever since. I’m equally happy spending the day in The Cities, or chasing waterfalls on the North Shore. Thankfully, Minnesota really has it all. I love laughing, ice cream, being in the water, and clapping at the end of a good movie (much to my husband’s chagrin).
My love for photography developed early, and really stems from my love of stories. Photography drew me in because it gave me a chance to tell and collect stories. I got my first camera and pack of Kodak Gold Film for my golden birthday when I was 12. I then promptly began documenting my family’s life, a role I still fill today (thankfully my nephews and cats don’t seem to mind). I’m grateful to all the families, couples, and individuals who have invited me into their stories, who have helped me develop as a story teller, and who continue to be my favorite stories to tell.
I believe that there is beauty in everything – and everyone, I want to help others see that in the world around them, but especially in themselves and each other. My goal as a photographer is to be a safe, and comfortable person for you – that whatever body you come to our session in you know it’ll be celebrated and loved. Whether you’re looking for a photographer for a milestone celebration, to update family photos or branding material, or to celebrate the everyday moments of life, I’d love a chance to help tell your story.
