Fall Wedding | Minneapolis, MN

October 14, 2016 was filled with some of my favorite things: a sparkly pink dress, gelato, pasta, good music, eclectic art, wine, lots of laughter and dancing; and the wedding of two fantastic people. I’m probably bias, because Lauren’s my cousin, but I loved capturing this day. Mostly because at least a third of the images are outtakes of the bride, and I now have an ample supply of photos to share on her birthday each year, but also because it’s incredibly special to be invited into the incredibly intimate, yet oddly public, moment when they commit to loving, and honoring each other and God FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, in front of everybody. It feels big, every time (no matter how many weddings I see), and beautiful and brave, and you’re all my heroes. Love each other well friends. Thanks for a great day. Also shout out to an awesome wedding party – you guys and gals rock, and great vendors (list below).

Emily & Tyler {Maple Grove, MN Wedding}

Many words could be used to describe Emily and Tyler’s wedding…beautiful, loving, unique, thoughtful,  but none would do justice to just how amazing their day was.  It was a joy to witness the love shared between Emily and Tyler, not to mention the love their family and friends shared for and with them.  Their ceremony was a beautiful reminder of the grace-filled love given to us through the waters of holy baptism.  Their reception was a fun-filled celebration of their new lives together.

Thank you Emily and Tyler for including me in your day, and being an amazing example of a Christ-centered marriage.

Here are just a couple highlights from this beautiful day:

Kat & Josiah {Family}

Dear Kat & Josiah, thank you for being awesome. Love, Megan.

If you know Kat & Josiah then you know I speak the truth. They are awesome. If you don’t know them then you’ll have to take my word for it.  I first met Kat my freshman year at college where I was the unsure freshman and she was the crazy-cool RA on the second floor.  Since that time we’ve become friends and through her, Josiah and I as well.  I am beyond blessed to have them in my life.  They are a quiet yet bold witness to what a Christian marriage looks like and are continually trying to live an authentic life.  Thanks for gifting me with the opportunity to capture some of your awesomeness on camera guys!

{I’m pretty sure this was taken after Kat had helped me get the burrs out of my hair after I backed up into them to get a shot prior to this….and then almost did it again.}

Melissa & Joan {Family}

Melissa is becoming a regular here, every other month or so….May, August, October. But this time Melissa’s mom Joan joined us in front of the camera.  I truly enjoy spending time shooting this family.  Both mother daughter are a lot of fun to talk with and it makes the session time just fly by.  Thanks for yet another wonderful afternoon ladies! Enjoy the previews!

Dana & Ross {Esession}

Have you ever met one of those couples that just exude happiness?  The kind of happiness that just makes you smile from being around them?  Dana and Ross are one of those couples.   I spent an afternoon walking around downtown De Pere and St. Norbert’s campus trying to capture just a little of this magic through my lens.  Dana and Ross are getting married in August and I for one cannot wait to spend the day celebrating their love.

Thank you for the smiles guys!

Katie {Senior Portraits}

I would like to introduce you to Katie and her horse Diva.  Katie has such a love for this horse it was hard not to smile watching them together.  Diva is young still and wasn’t so sure about the camera but did a nice job.
