FAQ

I see you offer a sliding scale – how does that work?

There is something so empowering and special about having images of yourself and your family that you love, make you feel seen, and capture the season you’re in. I want to make that reality accessible to everyone. My packages are built out at a price point that hopefully keeps them accessible to most, while also providing for my family. However, I know that does not mean everyone, so each month I reserve a couple mini sessions for families and individuals as sliding scale/pay what you can spaces. To reserve one of these spaces email me at info@meghuff.com.

Need more than a mini session? Let’s talk and we’ll figure out a way to make it happen!

Want to help make photography accessible for someone else? You can sponsor a session! Email me to learn how!

Do you offer any add-ons to your sessions?

Yes! All of my packages are based on a set shooting time, location or distance from St. Paul, # of people, and edited images – but we can add on to all of that! If you know you’ll need to increase time, people or distance let me know when you book. Add-ons for edited images will be available when you receive your proof gallery.

Do you travel?

Yes please! Let’s chat!

Which session is the right fit for me? Deciding between a mini and full session.

A mini session might be great for you if you’re looking to get some updated family photos or headshots, or just want to celebrate this part of your story in this moment.

A full session might be great for you if you have kids that need a while to warm up to photos, you want varied backgrounds (think walking around a park vs staying at one location at a park), want to change outfits, or need multiple set-ups for content images for marketing or influencer content.

Can we bring our pets to our session?

Again, yes please! I’m a big believer that pets are part of your family and I’d love to have them included in your session. However, please mention it at booking so we can all be prepared and talk through any special planning that might be needed.

We would rather not have our images posted in public spaces (social media/website/blog). Is that ok?

100% I respect each person’s privacy and choice in having their images featured. My default is to post each session somewhere – but if you’d rather that didn’t happen, want to wait until after a certain date (Christmas, baby/adoption announcements, etc.), or you don’t want children’s faces used I will honor your choice. I also want kids to know that they have a voice on where their image is used just as much as adults do, so I will ask kids 5 and up if they are ok with their images being used. If they say no, it’s a no; if they say yes and parents say no, it’s still a no.

You can photoshop that to make me look thinner right?

Nope! When it comes to touch ups I only edit out things that won’t be there in two weeks – think bug bites, or pimples. I believe all bodies should be celebrated & that all bodies are beautiful – just as you are, no matter the shape, texture, or color of the body and skin you are in. Not in spite of it, but because of it. Your body tells a story and I want to help you celebrate that.

I/we need accommodations – is that something you can do?

I want you to feel comfortable and safe during our session – and that begins before we even start shooting. When you book your session with me I’ll send you a client form to complete that includes a space to share any accommodations or needs that you or your family have that would be important for me to know as your photographer. Depending on what you share I may suggest a phone or video consultation to talk through ideas and needs so we can be sure we’ve created a good plan together. I know it can feel vulnerable to share these needs and I want you to know that’s not lost on me. I am honored to be invited into your story this way and will will work with you to capture the unique beauty that is this season.
