Fall Wedding | Minneapolis, MN

October 14, 2016 was filled with some of my favorite things: a sparkly pink dress, gelato, pasta, good music, eclectic art, wine, lots of laughter and dancing; and the wedding of two fantastic people. I’m probably bias, because Lauren’s my cousin, but I loved capturing this day. Mostly because at least a third of the images are outtakes of the bride, and I now have an ample supply of photos to share on her birthday each year, but also because it’s incredibly special to be invited into the incredibly intimate, yet oddly public, moment when they commit to loving, and honoring each other and God FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, in front of everybody. It feels big, every time (no matter how many weddings I see), and beautiful and brave, and you’re all my heroes. Love each other well friends. Thanks for a great day. Also shout out to an awesome wedding party – you guys and gals rock, and great vendors (list below).

Alyssa & Taylor | Wedding

It didn’t matter that Alyssa & Taylor’s wedding day was overcast and rainy because their smiles and the personalities of their wedding party surely made up for it.  Alyssa and Taylor were married Saturday afternoon in a small Lutheran church located in Mountain Lake, MN.  They celebrated with family and friends, and danced the night away at Comfrey Community Center.  From the few times I’ve met them it is safe to say their wedding was much like them, fun, unpretentious and full of laughter.   Here’s to an amazing life together!

Jake & Melissa {Wedding}

Melissa and Jake got married on a beautiful day, in a gorgeous chapel on the shore of Lake Shetek.  The day was filled with friends and family, and lots, and lots of laughter and smiles.   The day was relaxed and fun, and a perfect representation of who they are as a couple.  When Melissa first moved to Fulda from the Twin Cities we use to joke that she was going to marry a farmer.  Three years later, that’s just what happened.  And I couldn’t have picked a better husband for her.  Here’s to a lifetime of happiness and forgiveness and adventure!

Kai & Katie {Wedding}

Kai & Katie had their wedding celebration on a beautiful July day in Hanley Falls, MN at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church.  Kai & Katie had were already married in Germany but came back to have a celebrate with their friends and family state-side.  DJ for the event was Mylan Ray who had everyone dancing all night long at the beautiful Marshall Golf Club.
